Create a New Outlook Profile

  • Close Outlook.

  • Open Control Panel and find the Mail applet. If you use the Category view in Windows's Control Panel, look for the Mail applet in the User Accounts category, or type Mail in the Search field

  • Select the Show Profiles button. (Email Account and Data Files buttons open the Account Settings dialog for the default profile.)

  • Click the Add button to make a new profile. Do not Copy your existing profile when you are creating a profile for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Type the name of the profile. This name will be one of the options to select when opening Outlook.

  • Click on E-mail Account and type your name full email address of the mailbox you are adding and your current password

  • Outlook 2016 will discover your email server settings and finish configuration of your email account. Once you see all steps as completed, you can click Finish. Now you can open your new profile in Outlook 2016.

  • Under Show profiles check box “prompt for a profile to be used “
